Tour summary

Join us on the Valle Sagrado VIP tour with Geo Adventure, a tour guide for a rich cultural journey through the Sacred Valley. We’ll depart early from Cusco to explore Andean landscapes and ancient Inca towns. Our route will combine heritage, stunning views, and deeper local experiences. This exclusive day promises discovery and connection at every stop.

We will begin in Chinchero, a town located at 3,762 meters above sea level. Here, we will visit the Centro de Interpretación Textil, guided by local artisans. They will show us how they weave vibrant Andean fabrics using traditional methods. We might try spinning alpaca wool by hand.

Our adventure will take us to Moray, with massive circular terraces. These lie at 3,500 meters and reflect Inca agricultural wisdom. We will walk through the ancient rings and feel the changing temperatures.

MARAS
Next, we will visit Maras, a peaceful colonial village surrounded by Andean peaks. We will stop at the nearby salt mines, active for centuries. Over 3,000 white salt pools stretch across the mountain at 3,380 meters. Locals still extract salt using traditional evaporation techniques.

After a scenic drive, we will arrive in Ollantaytambo, one of the last living Inca towns. This archaeological site stands at 2,792 meters and features massive stonework. We will climb its terraces and explore temples carved from pink granite. The views of the valley will be unforgettable.

PISAQ
Next, we will continue to Pisaq, renowned for its impressive Inca ruins and breathtaking views. Set high in the Sacred Valley, Pisaq offers a fascinating blend of archaeological wonders and cultural history. We will visit its terraced hillsides and explore the ancient Inca cemetery, while learning about its significance in the Inca Empire.

This VIP tour will give us more time, richer insights, and a closer look at Inca history. We will travel in smaller groups with a passionate local guide. Every moment may offer a new story, flavor, or perspective.

Itinerary
Valle Sagrado VIP – Full Day

We'll begin our tour with the pickup from the hotel in Cusco between 6:20 and 6:50 A.M. We will travel north through majestic Andean landscapes. The landscape in the mornings is cold and cloudy in the mountains and in the wide agricultural valleys. This day’s tour will take us through living history and ancient wisdom!

Our first stop will be Chinchero, located at 3,762 meters above sea level. Here, we will visit a local community and their Centro de Interpretación Textil. We will watch how artisans spin, dye, and weave alpaca wool using ancestral techniques. They may even let us try part of the process ourselves.

After exploring the village and its colonial church, we’ll drive toward the agricultural site of Moray, located at 3,500 meters. Moray features massive circular terraces that may have helped the Incas test crops in changing microclimates. We’ll walk around the rings and feel the temperature shift at each level.

Next, we'll visit Maras, a quiet village with Spanish-style houses and mountain views. Nearby, we’ll explore the Salineras, a stunning salt complex with over 3,000 pools. Local families still use the salineras, which sit at 3,380 meters. The shimmering white terraces create a surreal landscape.

After a scenic drive through the Sacred Valley, we will stop in Urubamba for lunch. This town lies at 2,871 meters and offers a relaxed atmosphere. We will enjoy a buffet meal with traditional Andean and Peruvian dishes. Dishes may include grilled meats, quinoa, native potatoes, and fresh vegetables.

We’ll then continue to Ollantaytambo, located at 2,792 meters. This town still follows its original Inca urban layout. We will visit the impressive Archaeological Site of Ollantaytambo, full of temples, storehouses, and terraces. Climbing to the top will give us spectacular valley views.

The guide will explain the site’s military, spiritual, and agricultural roles. We may see huge stones perfectly cut and fitted by Inca masons. If anyone connects to Machu Picchu by train, we will drop them at the station. The rest of us will continue to the final stops of the tour.

We'll end our day at the Pisaq Archaeological Site, located at 3,300 meters. This site holds temples, towers, and a massive Inca cemetery. We will hike through carved stone paths with panoramic views of the valley. The scale and precision of the stonework may leave us speechless.

On the way back to Cusco, we might pass small villages and farmlands. We will return to Cusco, arriving at the Plaza de Armas, around 6:30 P.M. after a full day of unforgettable experiences.
