Itinerary
Sacred Valley Tour – Full Day

We will start the Sacred Valley Tour - Full Day Sacred Valley early in the morning. Our team will pick us up from our hotel in Cusco between 7:00 to 7:30 A.M., and we’ll head north into the beautiful Sacred Valley of the Incas. The drive will offer beautiful views of Andean valleys, mountains, and rivers.

Our first stop will be Chinchero, located at 3,762 meters above sea level. This village is known for its ancient Inca walls and colonial church. We’ll get to visit the Textile Interpretation Center made by a local community. Here, we may learn about dyeing, spinning, and weaving techniques passed down for generations.

The artisans will demonstrate how they use natural materials like alpaca wool and plant dyes. We will have time to interact and support their craft if we wish. The scenery here offers stunning mountain backdrops and a rich cultural experience. We will then continue our journey deeper into the Sacred Valley.

Next, we will visit the Inca agricultural laboratory of Moray. Located at 3,500 meters, this site features impressive circular terraces. The Incas likely used these terraces to see how different crops grew in various climates and altitudes. We will explore how this advanced agricultural system worked in Inca times.

Our guide will explain how the Incas mastered climate adaptation. We will explore the circular paths used by the Incas. The view from above reveals perfect geometric harmony. After exploring Moray, we will head toward the salt mines of Maras.

Maras is a colonial town surrounded by farmland and mountain views. We will visit its famous salt mines, known as Salineras de Maras. Over 3,000 salt pools cling to the hillside at 3,380 meters. We will learn how the locals maintain this ancient tradition. The gleaming white terraces are a spectacular sight against the red mountain walls. We can take time to walk the pathways and take pictures.

Afterward, we will head to Urubamba for a relaxing lunch. In Urubamba, we will enjoy a buffet lunch featuring Andean and Peruvian dishes. We may try quinoa, local trout, fresh vegetables, and traditional desserts. The town sits at 2,871 meters above sea level and offers a peaceful break in the valley. After our meal, we will continue to Ollantaytambo.

Ollantaytambo is the only living Inca town still inhabited today. It lies at 2,792 meters and holds strong Inca urban planning. We will visit the Archaeological Site of Ollantaytambo, which features massive terraces and finely carved stones. We will climb to the Temple of the Sun and admire the panoramic views.

The site served as a military, religious, and agricultural center. Our guide will explain the strategic importance of this fortress. If some travelers connect to Machu Picchu, we may drop them at the train station here. The rest of us will continue the day’s journey to Pisaq.

Our final destination will be Pisaq, perched on a mountain ridge at 3,300 meters. Pisaq was once a major Inca agricultural and spiritual center. We'll see amazing terraces, ancient ruins, and carved tunnels. This place also had one of the biggest Inca cemeteries.

We will hike around the ruins and enjoy views of the Sacred Valley below. Our guide will share insights into Inca burial customs and astronomy. After exploring, we may stop at the Pisaq Market, known for colorful handicrafts and handmade jewelry. Then, we will return to Cusco around 18:30 P.M.
