On the "Lima Cusco Package 8D/7N," we will explore the rich culture of Peru from its capital to the ancient city of Cusco. You will start your adventure in Lima, where a professional tour guide will take you through the heart of the city.

The historic Plaza de Armas will be one of the first landmarks we visit, offering stunning views of the colonial architecture. We will also explore the local museums and vibrant neighborhoods, gaining insights into Lima’s fascinating history.

Next, we will fly to Cusco, located at 3,400 meters above sea level. This incredible city once served as the capital of the ancient Inca Empire. We will visit the Sacred Valley, where breathtaking landscapes and fascinating archaeological sites await.

Our tour will take us to Machu Picchu, where you will be able to admire the panoramic view of the Valley and its ancient ruins. The connection between the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu will provide an unforgettable experience.

During your journey, we will also visit the remarkable Humantay Lake, known for its crystal-clear waters and surrounding peaks. You will witness some of the most stunning views in the region. A day trip to Rainbow Mountain will be another highlight. At 5,200 meters, it offers one of the most impressive natural landscapes in Peru.

The tour will be a perfect blend of culture, nature, and history, making it an adventure you will never forget.

Day 1 – Arrival in Lima and City Tour

We will pick you up from Lima’s airport and take you to your hotel to rest. At 14:00 PM, we will begin your Lima City Tour. We will visit the Parque del Amor in Miraflores with stunning sea views and explore Larcomar. The tour continues through downtown Lima, passing through Plaza San Martin, Jirón de la Unión, and Plaza de Armas. We will also visit the Inca Market and end at the San Francisco Monastery and Catacombs. After the tour, we will return to your hotel around 19:00 PM.

Day 2 – Ballestas Islands and Huacachina, Ica

We will pick you up early, between 04:30 and 05:00 AM, to travel to Paracas, approximately 4 hours from Lima. At 09:00 AM, we will board motorboats to explore the Ballestas Islands. We will see sea lions, pelicans, Humboldt penguins, and other marine birds. On the return trip, we will see the Candelabro, a large geoglyph similar to the Nazca Lines. Afterward, we will drive 1 hour to Ica, where we will visit a vineyard and sample local wine and pisco. Next, we will head to Huacachina, an oasis surrounded by sand dunes, for a buggy ride and sandboarding adventure. Afterward, we will return to Lima, arriving at around 23:00 PM.

Day 3 – Flight to Cusco and City Tour

We will pick you up from your hotel in Lima for the flight to Cusco. Upon arrival, we will transfer you to your hotel to settle in and rest. In the afternoon, we will begin the Cusco City Tour at 12:40 to 13:00 PM. We will visit the Qoricancha Temple, once dedicated to the Sun god. Then, we will explore Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Puka Pukara, and Tambomachay. By 18:00 PM, we will return to the Plaza de Armas, ending the tour.

Day 4 – Sacred Valley with Connection to Machu Picchu

We will pick you up from your hotel between 06:20 and 06:50 AM and head to the Sacred Valley. Our first stop will be Chinchero, where we will visit a textile interpretation center. Then, we will visit Moray, an ancient agricultural laboratory. Afterward, we will explore Maras and its salt mines with over 3,000 salt pools. We will continue to Urubamba for a buffet lunch, then visit Ollantaytambo, an Inca town and archaeological site. Finally, we will board the 15:37 or 16:36 PM train to Aguas Calientes. Once there, a guide will take you to your hotel.

Day 5 – Machu Picchu Visit

At 08:00 AM, we will pick you up from your hotel and drive you to the bus station. We will take the Consettur bus to Machu Picchu, a 25-minute ride. At Machu Picchu, we will enjoy a guided 3-hour tour of the main circuit. Afterward, we will return to Aguas Calientes for a free afternoon to explore the local market. In the evening, we will board at 14:30 or 14:55 PM. train to Ollantaytambo, where we will meet our driver to return to Cusco. We will arrive around 19:00 PM.

Day 6 – Humantay Lake

After a buffet breakfast, we will continue for 1:15 hours to Soraypampa, the starting point of our hike. We will then hike 1:30 hours to Humantay Lake at 4,200 meters sea level. After taking in the stunning views, we will return to Soraypampa and head back to Mollepata for lunch. By 18:00 PM, we will return to Cusco.

Day 7 – Rainbow Mountain

The hike to Rainbow Mountain will take 1:30 hours. We will enjoy the panoramic view of this colorful mountain before returning to the restaurant for lunch. By 16:00 PM, we will return to Cusco.

We absolutely loved every part of this tour! From walking through the historic streets of Lima to witnessing the magic of Machu Picchu, everything was well organized and stress-free. The tour guides were friendly, knowledgeable, and made us feel safe and comfortable at high altitudes. Definitely one of the most unforgettable experiences we’ve had!
