Tour summary

We'll begin our adventure by picking up passengers from their hotel early in the morning. Our journey will take us through the scenic highlands of the Sacred Valley. After a short drive, we will arrive at Cruzpata for a brief driving practice session. This will help us feel confident on the ATV Maras Moray Tour path.

We'll ride powerful ATVs along rugged trails with panoramic views of the Andes Mountains. The route will offer thrilling turns and wide-open landscapes ideal for photos and short rests. We will travel through local farmland and small Andean villages full of traditional charm. Every stretch of the trail will bring new colors and textures of the countryside.

Our first stop will be the “Sitio Arqueológico de Moray”, located at 3,500 meters. These impressive circular terraces may reveal how the Incas experimented with agriculture. We’ll take some time to check out the site and get a feel for its unique layout and what it was used for. The terrain around Moray will provide a stunning backdrop for photos.

Afterwards, we'll continue through the Valle de Maras on a scenic dirt path. The air will be fresh, and the terrain will shift from mountain to valley. We will soon reach the famous Salineras de Maras, or Maras Salt Mines. These salt mines of maras, stretch across the mountainside and date back to Inca times.

At the salt mines, we'll walk through thousands of pools filled with natural saltwater. We’ll see how local families are still harvesting salt the traditional way. The color of the salt will change with sunlight and water levels throughout the year. After taking in the views, we will ride back to Cruzpata.

From there, we will return to Cusco by vehicle, feeling energized by the landscapes and culture. The entire tour will combine adrenaline with history, nature, and local life. Itinerary
ATV Maras Moray Tour

We'll pick you up at 7:00 A.M from your hotel in Cusco. From there, we will drive through the Andes. On the way, we will admire snow-capped peaks and wide open farmlands. This valley tour from Cusco offers constant views of nature and local life.

Then we'll arrive at Cruzpata, the ATV tour base, after one hour. A trained guide will welcome us and explain all safety instructions. Before starting, we will have a short driving practice session. This will ensure a safe and fun Maras Moray Tour path for everyone.

After that, we’ll hop on our ATVs and cruise through the stunning Maras Valley. Around every corner, there’s another amazing view of the Sacred Valley waiting for us.

Our first stop will be Moray, at 3,500 meters. These round terraces were once used by the Incas as a kind of farming lab. We will walk through the area and learn about its impressive engineering. The site offers a peaceful moment surrounded by the Andes Mountains.

After Moray, we will ride back to Cruzpata along the same scenic trail. The return ride will allow us to enjoy the landscape from a new angle. The full ATV ride will last about two hours of adventure. This part is perfect for those who love short and exciting outdoor experiences.

Once we're back in Cruzpata, we'll switch over to a van and head to the Maras Salt Mines. These salt deposits lie on the mountain slopes and include over 3,000 pools. Families in the area still harvest salt here using ancient methods. We will walk among the pools and take in the bright white contrast against the brown hills.
